This site (homecaretechnology.com) is sponsored by member companies of the Home Care Information Technology Council (HITC). It's purpose is educational - to provide home care and hospice executives a one-stop location on the Web where they can find valuable resources and information on technology products and services. Our goal is to help these organizations better understand how information technology can be utilized to improve operational performance and patient care.

All the site resources are available to users at NO COST.

Information on this site is organized into public areas and user areas.
The public areas can be accessed by anyone who visits the site while the user areas require you to complete a brief one-time registration form. Sign up required will be displayed when you access any of the user areas.

Public areas include member company-at-a-glance and product-at-glance profiles, links, educational event schedules, background and contact information.

User areas (primarily found at the Resources tab) include articles, presentation slides, upcoming seminar handouts, technology news, software selection tools and detailed member company and product information.

 Member Profiles:

This is an excellent place to start. At-a-glance profiles present summary information on all HITC member companies and the products and services they offer. When you move your mouse over Member Profiles (link at the top left) a list of nine product/service categories will appear. When you select on of these a screen will be displayed identifying all member companies that offer that particular type of product or service.

Once you have accessed a category page:
a) review the category description
b) click on a company logo to get summary information and
c) then click on Company Profile to view company-at-a-glance or product-at-a-glance pages.

Registration
is required to access much of the information found at this tab. To become a registered user you need only sign up once.

    Go to Sign In (upper right corner) and complete the brief registration form.
    You will create a login ID and password at the time you register.

This will give you access to the array of educational resources we are assembling. This is an area you will want to visit frequently, as we will be continuously adding content.

 Calendar:

Each year HITC sponsors a number of educational events in conjunction with state and national trade associations. Here you will find a calendar of scheduled events and registration links. Registered users can also download seminar or workshop handouts.
