Healthcare Assistant Series for Windows (HAS4WIN) SQL Edition v5 is a browser-based application that supports through business arrangements administrative/financial and clinical functions for Home Health, Private Duty and Staffing providers. Point-of-care options are available to business arrangements with other companies.

 Product Description:

Healthcare Synergy staff developed HAS4WIN and introduced it in 1993. In addition to PPS and insurance billing, supported functions include OASIS, multiple provider numbers/branches/locations, California AIDS Waiver Program, HR license tracking, forms management, reporting and accounts receivable. Billing to all states is available through EDS. HAS4WIN interfaces to PDA and scanning point-of-care systems and telephony and has an XML interface with Briggs Corporation scan forms. Reports can be generated with 3rd-party reporting products such as Crystal Reports and exported to any Windows application.

 Technology:

HAS4WIN was developed in Visual Basic 4.0 and operates over a SQL Client/Server database. Customers not using Healthcare Synergy’s remote hosting service install the application on servers running Novell Netware, Windows NT, 2000/2003 Professional or XP Professional and Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.5 Client. Desktop workstations should be up-to-date PCs running Windows 98 or above. Other than Sybase SQL, no 3rd-party software is required to support HAS4WIN.

 How offered:

Healthcare Synergy offers both lease and purchase plans. When installed, Healthcare Synergy is licensed for a one-time fee per user and an annual maintenance fee. When Healthcare Synergy hosts it remotely, there is a monthly fee.

 Implementation, Training and Support:

Free training is conducted weekly in the company’s Southern California training center. Free online training and support is available at all times. Onsite training is offered at a rate of $85 per hour plus travel expenses. A typical Healthcare Synergy customer can expect to spend 20 hours in initial training at a cost of approximately $1,190. Support is conducted by phone over a toll-free line.

Healthcare Synergy support staff takes messages and typically resolves problems during the first return call. Support is available 9:00 AM to 5:00 Pacific time, with special hours offered for customers in other time zones during initial training and support. Optional on-call service is available for an additional fee.
