CareFacts™ Information System is a Windows application that supports clinical, administrative and financial functions for public health agencies, home health, hospice and private duty companies. CareFacts products are offered in three modules:
- CF Clinical supports charting at the point or care and in the office
- CF Scheduling is an electronic scheduling module for field staff
- CF Billing support financial operations, electronic billing and receivable information
CareFacts™ Information System was designed with clinician input and developed by company staff. The products’ first modules were introduced in 1995. Interfaces are available with third party telephony and home telehealth systems and payroll and accounting software. Management reports can be customized by selecting variables or new reports can be created with a provided report writer.
CareFacts Clinical system supports home care clinical processes and point-of-care documentation. The module uses the Omaha System language system.
CareFacts Scheduling supports visit and recurring event planning and automatically prompts of any conflicts or scheduling changes. Visits are matched to staff based on availability. CF Scheduling prevents unauthorized scheduling or scheduling of unfunded services.
CareFacts Billing supports billing functions for the Home Health Prospective Payment System, Medicaid, private insurance and private pay. It is designed to support various billing requirements of community care agencies. CF Billing is HIPAA compliant and includes custom forms for remittance for automated invoice billing.
CareFacts Paraprofessional PDA Charting System is designed to support Home Health Aide visit reporting on a handheld PDA.
CareFacts products are Windows-based, object-oriented applications written for a client/server architecture. They will run on Windows Network and Windows desktop stations.
The three CF products are licensed per user plus an annual maintenance fee. The company does not provide computer hardware. Software upgrades are provided as part of the annual maintenance fee.

Implementation, Training and Support: |
CareFacts provides implementation planning services and includes training that can be conducted on-site or at CareFacts’ St. Paul headquarters. Number of hours and cost of training vary with customer size and modules licensed. Customers can call CareFacts support staff 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.
Calls are returned promptly in order received or on an emergency status.
